Arkansas Department of Workforce Services
Required Public Notice and Request for Public Comment
In accordance with the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program Final Rule (45 CFR Part 260, et al), the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services (DWS) has developed its methodology for calculating the Caseload Reduction Credit (CRC) that will be applied to the Federal Fiscal Year 2009 work participation rate requirements.
Congress created the Caseload Reduction Credit to ensure that States receive credit for families that have become self-sufficient and left its welfare rolls. The Caseload Reduction Credit reduces the required work participation rate that Arkansas must meet.
The proposed methodology is available for review at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services, Office of Employment Assistance – 5 th Floor, #2 Capitol Mall, P.O. Box 2981, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
All written comments must be submitted, in writing, no later than COB Friday, January 23, 2009 to Elroy Willoughby at the above address or via email at elroy.willoughby@arkansas.gov.
