Important Information from the
Arkansas Division of Workforce Services

Federal unemployment insurance benefit programs have been revised and extended under the Continued Assistance for Unemployed Workers Act of 2020. We are in the process of reviewing implementation guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Labor. This will allow DWS to begin updating IT systems and distributing benefits as soon as possible. Payments under the revised programs may be delayed due to finalization of implementation guidance and updating of IT systems. Please do not call our local offices or call centers with questions on 2021 unemployment benefit extensions. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Individuals with existing claims for regular unemployment benefits or PEUC should continue to file weekly claims. Those eligible will receive the additional $300 FPUC for weeks claimed beginning with the week ending 01/02/2021. The PUA system must also undergo updates to accommodate the recent extension of the PUA program. Those with existing PUA claims will need to resume filing weekly once certain modifications are complete. Please check for more information and updates.
