PUA UPDATE

The Arkansas Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program ended June 26, 2021. At this time, PUA is no longer accepting applications for benefits. If you need assistance or help searching for work, please call 844-908-2178 or contact your local Arkansas Workforce Center.

FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS ENDING

The following federal unemployment programs will end June 27, 2021: Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), and Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC).



UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE AND TAXES

Unemployment benefits are exempt from state income tax for tax years 2020 & 2021.
